The Norman Conquests

Da kaufe ich mir einmal einen Independent, um die EU-Wahl einmal aus anderer Perspektive zu sehen, und da lese ich in einem Artikel über den britischen Dramatiker Alan Ayckbourn, dass eines seiner Hauptwerke einen Bibliothekar zum Thema hat: "The trilogy in question was The Norman Conquests, focusing on the failed romances of an assistant librarian called Norman, and it garnered unanimously sensational reviews before being transferred to Lodonn a year later to win a clutch of awards" (Arifa Akbar: "The Ayckbourn conquest". In: The Independent, 9. Juni 2009, S. 21). Passenderweise wurde das Stück im Scarborough Library Theatre uraufgeführt.
